Here is a summary of what this means in practice:
Transparency - you have a right to know what information I hold on you and I am obliged to tell you, should you request this.
I only hold the information you shared with me when we went through your client record card on first meeting and then anything of relevance with treatments undertaken. This is kept on the personal client record card and filed in a lock box on my premises. No other third parties are involved and no private information is stored on computer. I am the only one with your information and only use it for when a treatment is privately booked with me.
I do not sell your information or use it for any other purpose than to provide the services to you that you have requested from me. No sensitive or confidential information is shared with any third parties.
If you would like to know what information I have on record for you, please contact me or ask me at your next appointment.
You also have the right to be forgotten, so if you ever want me to remove you from my files please contact me so I can do this.
Security - I have an obligation to hold your information securely and not abuse it.
Consent - I am required to obtain your consent in order to contact you.
Whilst I do not require your explicit consent to contact you with non-promotional messages, such as appointment reminders and booking confirmations, as a mark of good practice I will be asking you to confirm you are happy to hear from me.
